Fantastic hair, fancy food and fizz were in full flow last Friday evening as Bifolco & Matty reopened their doors in the Harrow Market, Langley, after a four-year absence with a glittering relaunch party.
Owner Samantha Bifolco and founder Nick Matty welcomed clients, friends and family to the redesigned salon to celebrate their return, showcasing some on-trend hair styles with brand new products on offer from Neäl & Wølf, 72 Hair and Innoluxe.
Before selling to a chain of salons four years ago, Bifolco & Matty was originally setup by Nick Matty in 1973 as ‘Nicholas of Knightsbridge’, before Samantha joined in 1997, with the salon becoming the name it is today. On the return Samantha commented:
“It feels like coming home! I’ve known some of the staff since they started training; they feel like family to me, so I’m delighted that we’re back. We’re committed to bringing our clients professional, friendly and beautiful hairdressing and we can’t wait to welcome them into our new look salon. We will be taking all of our learned experiences from our many years together and sabbatical and make a new journey together; creating even more of a personal connection with our clients and community.”
During the evening, Samantha praised the salon managers Christine Bridge and Chelle Kennedy, the whole team but also her husband, daughter and son-in-law, who have been instrumental in rebuilding the salon from a physical, financial and brand perspective.
As part of a new philosophy, they will be working towards ethically sourced, environmentally friendly and sustainable products including fair-trade coffee, recyclable bags and paraben, sulphate and cruelty free haircare.
