We are a local salon with a wealth of London experience. The salon opened its doors in 1973 as Nicholas of Knightsbridge by Nick Matty. Nick being a Vidal Sassoon educator developed the team in the art of precision cutting which is still apparent today. Long hair specialist and art director from Harrods, Sam Bifolco joined him in 1995 and created the locally renowned Bifolco & Matty.
After 20 years working within the Bifolco & Matty family, Chelle has taken the reigns and drives the team forward. Chelle is passionate that you leave the salon wearing your hair with confidence. Having extensively trained in scalp health, Chelle's underlying goal is for your hair to meet its full potential. Healthy, glossy hair orginates from a healthy scalp. As the industry has evolved so has our team. Our team is unique in that we have been working together in the most part for over twenty years and are a strong dynamic experienced hairdressing family.
We are delighted to be working with Wella Professional and are a contributory part of their wider community. 2% of the Hairdressing industry holds a degree equivalent qualification in colour knowledge. To be recognised as a Wella Colour Expert the recipient must undergo a strenuous process of practical tests and science exams over a year period at the Wella World Studio in London. We are proud to say that we have 2 Colour Experts on our team.
Sometimes our own hair just doesn’t feel enough to make us feel as good as we can, so we have partnered with Beauty Works, the luxury natural hair extension. The award-winning luxury brands are the ‘go to’ and are worn by celebrities and influencers from around the world.
