Colour Master congress at Wella World Studios 1 The Strand
Every year the Master Colour experts get to go on a one-day conference at the Wella World studio. Only those that hold this highly prized qualification are invited to attend this conference. This year Joanne Contino and Samantha Bifolco had the privilege to go and ‘rub shoulders’ with those top 2% of colourists in the country to see all that is new within the fashion world of hair.
Joanne Contino “I would say the best bit about MCP congress 2019 was the insight into trends and products allowing us to stay ahead within our industry and pass this information on to our team and disseminate to our clients.”
Samantha Bifolco “This year as every year I most enjoyed looking at fashion predictions for the year ahead and to see how that will affect our industry. This knowledge enables the team at Bifolco & Matty to help our clients to be aware of what is happening in the world of hair and be current. Jo and I had the opportunity to dress manikins in styles that put our twist on the current trends and to think of colours and styles which would compliment them. 2020 will see inky blues and more vivid yellows while over saturated reds and plums will shine out once more. Whites, soft greys and blush pinks remain so feminine and popular and will remain on our high streets and salon chairs. There will be a return of Gold metal in jewellery and accessories as you may have noticed. The trends that Wella predict are called:
Indigo Ink- Dark shiny glossy blue ash tones.
Marble Glaze- A mix of grey, clean fresh and light sandy blondes.
Dessert Glow – Champagne golds through to vivid yellows and golden brunettes creating different forms of multi tonal balayage’s and defined multi-dimensional lights within waves.
Red Velvet- Beautiful deep and vivid reds that turn heads.
‘There has never been a better time to work within the world of colouring hair with Wella as our chosen partner – exciting times”
Joanne and Sam attended 4 interactive workshops using all of the latest colours that Wella have created and got to create some of their own mixes … come and see what colour can be achieved for your hair.
